I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt
of your further letter of the 25th. March last and in reply
I am directed to state that there is no reason to suppose
that any request made in accordance with the law of this
Colony, to which reference was made in my predecessor's let-
ter No.408 of the 17th.March last, will not meet with prompt
attention, and that section 20 (1) of Ordinance No. 26 of
action
1891 indicates the course of acting which the master of a
foreign ship can take in respect of seamen deserting from
